President & CEO

 

Rob Strandberg is the President & CEO of Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida (EDC), a public private partnership that assists emerging science and technology   companies. In his role he is responsible for oversight of EDC’s business mentor/protégé program, the C. Scott Ellington Technology Business Incubator, EDC conferences, fundraising, administration of the New World Angels and other programs that EDC runs in support of the emerging science and technology community.

Mr. Strandberg has been a CEO of a number of successful technology companies including Orlando based Xytrans, Inc., a Lockheed Martin spinout focusing on high frequency radio and VSat systems as well as highly advanced concealed weapons detection technology, PSC Inc., a global leader in bar code laser/CCD scanners and wireless data collection devices and DATAMAX, Inc., an Orlando based global leader in high performance printers (sold to Dover Corp. for $140M). Additionally, Mr. Strandberg has been a director of such public companies as Sawtek/Triquint, Merix/Via Systems and Quipp/ITW.

Mr. Strandberg has extensive experience in all aspects of growing technology enterprises, including strategic and tactical planning in highly competitive technology markets, financial and operations management, building and leading high performance development teams and all elements of financing for both public and private companies. Mr. Strandberg received his BS/Engineering at Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard University.
