Who is EDC?
Enterprise Development Corporation of South Florida (EDC) is a 501 c(3), non-profit organization dedicated providing entrepreneurial support services to high growth potential companies throughout South Florida. Founded in 1994, EDC assists over 300 companies annually and has achieved an overall economic impact is in excess of $500 million. Through our key initiatives and vast resource networks, EDC provides companies the tools they need in order to grow and succeed.
Our major initiative is the strategic development and management of business Incubator programs, where we provide comprehensive assistance to our client companies within the program. Under one roof, Incubator companies tap into an array of resources including mentors, investors, community collaborators, and business services, creating a stimulating environment that provides what companies need in order to be successful.
EDC provides mentoring to new and existing high-growth potential companies through a community of hundreds of professionals passionate about creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem. EDC helps entrepreneurs across multiple industries, accelerating their growth and creating a vibrant, innovation-based economy in our region.
EDC manages a variety of programs to accelerate new company creation and growth:

- Introductions to capital through local angel networks and funds
- Management of business incubator programs across South Florida
- Production of annual conferences and regular meetings that provide visibility and networking opportunities for entrepreneurs
EDC also participates in specific statewide programs that enhance the creation and development of science and technology companies, and supports other local organizations with monthly programming. As a clearinghouse for entrepreneurial activity, EDC engages with local business leaders, investors, colleges and universities, government entities, and other public and private groups that share a commitment to Florida’s economic vitality.
